The keyboard is dull black with big keys.

Third, the keyboard has big keys making it easy to type. The keys are firm and typing is admittedly quiet. The touchpad is too small with slender mouse knobs which make it hard and confusing during the operation.

The battery may look awkward but it adds a unique touch to a netbook.

Fourth, the 6-cell battery is positioned extending to the back of the chassis. This adds up to the weight of the unit but makes it less bulky and uniquely designed. The battery life can only extend for up to 3 hours, so if you want to play simple games or watch a movie, you need to have an electrical outlet at bay.

Fifth, the sole processor of Intel Atom with 3GB RAM and a wide 320GB of hard drive, powers up theIdeaPad S12. The performance is quite sluggish but is typical of netbooks although bearable.

Sixth: To complement with the standards of netbooks, Lenovo incorporated multiple ports and connectors to the IdeaPad S12. You will find a power jack, 3 USB ports, and memory card slots, HDMI – /VGA – out ports, headphone/microphone jacks, an Ethernet port and Kensington – lock slit. For your wireless connections, a Bluetooth and 802.11b/g are also included.

And lastly, there are plenteous applications that are incorporated in the unit. It is equipped with the 32 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium.
