Diff Between Google Panda And Google Penguin


It’s delightful for SEO marketers to hear updates about Google penguin and Google panda. Google panda is a great change to theGoogle search result algorithm it was first released in 2011.it is a great improvement to Google search algorithm which helps Google to fight against content robbers and spammers.  A supporter of SEO these updates caused several brands to lose their visibility.

Google panda:

Google dropped a bomb with the name of “PANDA”. This update is designed to reduce rankings of low quality web sites – sites which have low value add for users, copy contents from other  web sites or sites that are not just very useful.it provides better ranking for high quality web sites-sites with original content. Basically panda updates are designed to support the pages that are not spam, are of great quality and penalize the sites having low quality content which contains key word stuffed, that offer little to no real value to the reader. Panda is also intended to stop scrappers from outranking the original authors. Panda made it known that SEO marketers would have to conciliate the views of Google’s search algorithm.

Google penguin:

Google penguin update waslaunched on 24 April 2012. Google penguin is an important algorithm change targeted web spam.The change will decrease ranking forthose sites violating Google existing quality guidelines. Google mentioned typical black hat SEO tactics like keyword stuffing will get a site in trouble and will cause penguin to flag your site such as

  1. For duplicated anchor text.
  2. For over use of duplicated domains.
  3. For links from article dictionary and listings.
  4. For low quality article marketing & blog spam
  5. For keyword stuffing in internal &outbound links.

It is just another step of Google to take more effective steps to ensure quality of data instead of quantity.
