The iPad: for the Gamer at Heart

0

Even if you aren’t a big tech nerd with a love of what ALL technology is capable of, you know what the iPad can do. Even if it’s the simple knowledge that the iPad can do a million and ten things, that’s enough to bring someone to look up what it can do. Gaming is one of those big pieces of the iPad puzzles, and some don’t even know how capable the iPad is to play really detailed games instead of those like Angry Birds (however fun, they aren’t the most graphically-stunning games out there).

Some quick specifications that make the iPad worthy of a gamer’s attention:

  • 9.7-inch Retina Display with a resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels
  • A5X processor (which Apple claims to be superior to the quad-core Tegra 3)
  • 5-megapixel camera with BSI sensor, 1080p video capability

These pieces make the iPad a superior machine, ready to take on any app that’s thrown at it. The following are games that add that little bit of extra awesome that may have gamers drooling as they play on the iPad.

Real Racing 2 HD

This game puts the power of a speed racer in your hands with amazing cars, different level of tracks and stunning color and sound to bring you into the game. The graphic cars makes the experience of Real Racing 2 powerful. For the race gamer, this game may just deliver a race to your senses. Total price: $9.99.

Infinity Blade

There are plenty of gamers out there that prefer games of fantasy and epic battles, and Infinity Blade is just that. Gaming company Epic created an even more life-like game with its increased textures, upgraded frame-rate, and graphics that are even more spectacular than the original for the first iPad. Enjoy 3D environments that look as real as the iPad you are holding as you play through the game. Infinity Blade is worth the $5.99 Epic charges.

Dead Space HD

Reviewed as one of the “best looking, most atmospheric and most intense first-person shooters” that has been released for the iPad, Dead Space HD gives so much more to the user. From the original gore of the game to the newest edition, the quality has only increase dramatically for the new iPad. Hardcore horror has nothing on this game with only a $6.99 price tag.

With these and so many other games for the iPad along with its increased resolution means that the gaming side of the iPad will only continue to upgrade in a spectacular way. Which games do you play?
