The Asus N82JV Review

The Asus N82JV is a great machine that announces its presence with a glorious lid shading a powerful core i5 processor and Nvidia GeForce’s optimus technology that offers seemless graphic switching abilities. The machine is hindered by its rather short battery longevity. The device will give you good service at a reasonable price.

The N82JV comes with a powerful intel core i5 450M processor with a top -shelf 2400 MHz speed. It is further armed with an equally forceful Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphic chipset with 1024MB graphic memory. These top -notch armours make the machine feel more like a mainstreem laptop than a netbook. The processor can be bolstered by turbo of upto 2.66GHz. It uses one hard disk drive for storage needs that comes with a total size of 500MB and 7200 rpm speed. Other storage facilities are SD/MMC card, SDHC card and XD -picture card. The networking chores are served by an ethernet 10/100/1000 mbps with Wi-Fi type 802. 11n/b/9.

The machine ships with operating system Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition that comes with Microsoft Office 2010. Your shipment will also come with cyberlink; Blue -ray disc suite, bluetooth and an choice for mobile broadband. It also comes with in -built webcam and microphone, skype, Windows Live and Amazon Kindle. Other notable utilities in its rich armour are; a recovery disc burner and an Asus invention of Photo Booth – also refered to as Lifeframe-. The machine comes with a single USB 3 port and a couple of USB 2 ports and uses video interface HDMI and VGA with eSATA also in toe.

The machine comes in a 13 inch glossy LCD that comes with LED backlight. It measures a width of 13.5 inches, a depth of 9.5 inches and a height of 1.4 inches. It weighs 5.2 pounds but will top 6.2 pounds when fully ensuite. The Asus N82JV’s battery life is rather suspect as it stops the clock after a mere three hours. It will offer you a comfortable keyboard, that is soiled by its painfully tiny keys and bad feedback mechanism. The touch pad aids two -finger scrolling and is supremely responsive. You are also likely to appreciate its good playback, but roath at its below -per speakers and its low depth. The machine’s glossy surface is unsuited for off -axis viewing while it suffers in direct sunlight or out -doors.

The chocolate -brown metalic all -purpose Asus N82jv punches above its weight as it tries to bridge the netbook -mainstream devide. It comes out powerfully but suffers for its lack of sleekness. Its princely price of about 999 US dollars will exite its critics and a few others.
