Assassin’s Creed 2

Assassin’s Creed 2 is a huge improvement from the original. Taking the positives of Assassins Creed 1 and just lifting it up, its no more the same boring sequences. The strokes of genius are in non-linear game play, mission variances and excitedly improved free running. Loads of time would be needed to complete the quests. Assassin’s Creed 2 has been a breakthrough for Ubisoft  enabling them to overcome their soft earnings of the pervious twelve months.

You need to have played the original Assassins Creed to enjoy this sequence. There are no memory flashes of the original to refresh the player of the  story line, so previous player knowledge helps. In case you don’t remember the story line of the original a summery, browsed over the net of Assassins Creed might be a good idea before setting out on the Assassins creed 2 voyage.

The game like the original is a history lesson with historical figures like Leonardo da Vinci, Machiavelli, and Pope Alexander the VI. Places where play takes you is like a guided tour of Italy set in the renaissance from Tuscany to Romagna, Venice, Rome and the Apennine mountains just to name a few.

The player becomes Casanova extraordinaire Ezzio Auditore who is blood letting in creed 2 to avenge the death of his father and his siblings. In a bloody trail that takes him through Italy he liquidates all with possibility of guilt for killing members of his family. With the progression of the trail possibility of enhancing effectiveness through advanced techniques and purchasing new weaponry from a youthful Leonardo DaVInci is made available. Each weapon has it’s own unique killing ability and using the range of them keeps the game with fever pitch excitement. The dual hidden blades being used in airborne attack on two guards needs a special mention for excitement.

The Graphics are breathtakingly new. Immense hard work has gone in to make sure the game gets a wow response. The paces where Ezzio dazzles onto the buildings and then he scampers through are intricately designed.

The web battle in Assassins Creed 2 is appreciable but not exciting. Strategy can be built up by the use of combinations to measure up to the opponents, with throwing opponents to death taking on new limits. Most adrenalin pumps through the assassinations and counter assassinations, upping excitement levels swiftly because of the follow through of the animations.

Assassin’s Creed 2 brings on a dimension of asset and money management, the money can be decided amongst options of buying Villa’s to buying supplies. All points collected in 20 minutes of play adds up to purchase of asset and supplies which increases the value of your villa. This makes it easier therefore to transfer this part of the creed onto the gaming arena. Upgrading the villa also increases your net worth giving power to get anything you want at the later part of the game.

The free running moving form to roof to roof is exhilarating. The Game controls are intuitive but the game tends to slip up periodically.

Overall it promises to be a thrilling adventure full of deep intrigue and fascinating action quite masterfully blending suspense, complicated conspiracies and plenty of revenge. A renaissance experience, experienced in a postmodern way.
