The copper like lining of the lid is classy and unique.

With a delicately designed pattern and finish, the IdeaPad Y460 is something to be proud of. You can easily carry it anywhere you want to because it only weighs 4.6 pounds and measures about 0.75 inch thick. The copper lining of the lid makes it more unique and presentable.

The keyboard is neat and spacious.

The keyboard is one good advantage. It has spacious and large keys that are responsive and very light on the fingers when typing. The touch pad is wide with mouse buttons that are very touch sensitive.

Entertainment:

For quality audio output, a couple of tiny JBL speakers are embedded above the keyboard. Unexpectedly, the sounds are very audible and pleasant to the ears.

By sliding the SlideNav bar from left to right, the screen is zipped which disables the mouse, keyboard and touch pad.

The 14 – inch display screen sports a 1,366X768 resolution with a sleek finish that sadly reflects external images when directed to bright lighting. However, it should not be a hindrance because you can easily adjust the lid or better yet, dim the lights of the room. A 1.3 megapixel Webcam is located at the center top the frame which helps you connect and view your friends around the world.

The touch pad is large and the mouse buttons are prominent.

A 2.4GHz Core i5-520M CPU and an ATI Radeon HD5650 graphics card is what powers the IdeaPad Y460 to deliver beautiful and sharp images with crisp and clean colors. It makes it ideal for games and other high definition videos. With a large storage of 4GB memory and an amazing 500GB drive, there is plenty of room for storing your movie, game and track collections.

The battery is one faltering aspect though. If using in laborious games and video streaming, the battery can last up to 3 hours only. So, if you want to have a nonstop fun and entertainment, always have a power socket at sight.

Plenty of software applications are already incorporated in the unit’s system. The 64 but version of Windows 7 Home Premium, Lenovo’s DirectShare, VeriFace logon system, and CyberLink’s YouCam utility provides a more dynamic computing experience. As with company policy, a trial version of McAfee antivirus and Microsoft Office are also pre installed. With a 1 year warranty and 24/7 technical support, the battery replacement is not included in the package.

At the right are the eSATA/USB combo port, one more USB port, an ExpressCard slot and a DVD RW drive. Facing it, you will find a flash card reader, wireless connection switch and a switch that snaps from a separate graphics chip site to an incorporated chip site.
